Recently, the official exterior images of the all-new BMW iX3 were exposed to the public. The new car will make its global debut tonight (September 5), while the China-exclusive version will be unveiled within the year and enter domestic production in 2026. The new car adopts revolutionary large cylindrical battery cells, and the CLTC range of the domestically produced model is expected to exceed 900 km.

In terms of exterior design, the all-new BMW iX3 adopts the family's all-new design language, with the front face paying tribute to the BMW 1500 model from the 1960s. The front face of the new car features a vertically oriented small-sized kidney grille, the headlight assembly and central grille adopt an integrated design, the angel-eye headlights have a blackened interior treatment, and the front bumper design is sharply angular. Together with multiple faceted creases on the front end, the entire front face delivers a flowing, three-dimensional visual effect.

The side of the new car is equipped with hidden door handles, the D-pillar is wide and substantial, and the rear features horizontal taillights, with the brand logo located in the center of the light assembly. The rear bumper styling echoes the front end, and the spoiler adopts a downward-pressed design. The body dimensions are 4780/1895/1635 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2895 mm.

In terms of power, the new car's 50 xDrive model will be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system consisting of a front asynchronous motor and a rear excited synchronous motor. The domestically produced version will be equipped with large cylindrical battery cells jointly developed by CATL and EVE Energy. The energy density of this battery is 20% higher than batteries currently on the market, charging speed is increased by 30%, and 10 minutes of charging can provide 350 km of range.

Dada commentary: BMW will accelerate the pace of launching new products in the Chinese market, with plans to launch more than 20 new models in China in 2026 and 2027, most of which will be powered by new energy modes. The domestically produced version of the all-new BMW iX3 will integrate high-end intelligent experiences such as Huawei's HarmonyOS ecosystem and HUAWEI HiCar digital services, and will jointly develop with Momenta a highly adaptive intelligent driving assistance solution for Chinese road conditions. In terms of intelligent driving and configuration, it will align with independent brands, and its range capability and fast-charging capability will be in the first tier. After launch, it is expected to achieve good sales performance.
