Recently, BYD's new Qin PLUS EV has made new waves again. Real photos of this car have been exposed and have been spreading like wildfire online. When I, Nianhan, first laid eyes on it, it looks quite a bit more imposing than in the filing images, and it really has some appeal.

Everyone knows that the Qin PLUS DM-i and EV are close brothers, so it is only natural that they look alike. However, the new Qin PLUS EV still has its own characteristics. The most obvious is the front face: the grille is gone and has been replaced by the now-popular closed-off design.
Of course, if you look closely, you can still find traces of the old model, such as the headlights and the decorative strip on the front grille, except that they are now slimmer and longer, making it look more energetic.

Then there are the two sides of the front bumper. The air guide grooves are designed with a strong sporty flair, making the entire front end look wider and lower, with a bit of a performance-car flavor.
Let's talk about dimensions. The new Qin PLUS EV is 30 millimeters longer than the old model, reaching 4795 millimeters, while the width and height are 1837 millimeters and 1515 millimeters respectively. The wheelbase is unchanged at 2718 millimeters. This size is relatively large among compact sedans, so the space should be quite good.
The car I, Nianhan, saw in the real photos has no sunroof, but there is an extra shark-fin antenna on the roof. I do not know whether it is standard across the whole lineup or only available on higher trims.

The rear still has a贯穿式 taillight, which is trendy these days, but the new model's taillight style and rear bumper have both been redesigned, making the overall look more coordinated and more imposing.
Also, this new model adds a new color, a light blue that is quite fresh, and young people should like it.

As for the interior, no official images have leaked yet. However, following BYD's usual practice, it is estimated that it will remain consistent with the Qin PLUS DM-i, or align with the latest Dynasty family design style.
To put it plainly, it will have the familiar floating central control large screen, full LCD instrument panel, and other elements, so the tech feel will not be lacking. As for the specific layout and details, we will have to wait for the official announcement to know.

Finally, let's talk about power, which is also what everyone cares about most. The new Qin PLUS EV's motor maximum power is still 100 kilowatts, the same as the old model. The battery uses lithium iron phosphate. There is nothing much to say about that; it is BYD's signature strength.

But there is news saying that this time the second-generation blade battery may be used. If true, then the range will definitely improve somewhat.
However, how much it can improve is hard to say for now, and we will have to wait for official data. As for the driver assistance system, the new Qin PLUS EV can this time be optioned with a pure vision smart driving solution, which sounds quite advanced, but how it performs in actual use will require a test drive in the future before I can give everyone a definitive answer.

Overall, the new Qin PLUS EV's facelift this time is quite sincere. The exterior is more fashionable and more imposing, the size is slightly larger, and the space performance should be better. Although the interior has not been announced yet, it will most likely continue BYD's consistent tech style.

In terms of power, although the motor power is unchanged, if the second-generation blade battery is really used, the range should bring a surprise. As for the pure vision smart driving solution, that is also a highlight, but how it actually performs will have to wait until after real experience before a conclusion can be drawn.
So is this car worth buying? Nianhan thinks that if you are considering a pure electric family sedan in the 100,000 to 150,000 yuan range, then the new Qin PLUS EV is definitely an option worth paying attention to. It has good looks, spacious room, reliable brand backing, and a range that will most likely improve.
Of course, the final price is also a key factor. If the price is right, then it will definitely become a dark horse in this segment of the market.
