On December 21, the new FAW Toyota Corolla was officially launched, with an official guide price of 126,800 to 149,800 yuan and a manufacturer direct sales price of 99,000 to 118,000 yuan. The new car has adjustments in exterior, interior, and body dimensions, and offers two powertrain options: a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a 1.8-liter gasoline-electric hybrid system.

In terms of exterior, the new car adopts a new family design language, with C-shaped headlight clusters on the front face, a reduced air intake area, an upward repositioned front fog light position, and daytime running lights that present a continuous effect when illuminated. The side profile is very smooth, featuring a dual waistline design, with one waistline running from the front fender all the way to the upper edge of the rear taillight cluster, creating a more stretched and elongated visual effect. In addition, the car is equipped with traditional door handles rather than hidden door handles. At the rear, the main adjustments are to the details of the light clusters, replacing the original chrome trim with a red light strip to create a continuous visual effect. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4710/1780/1435 mm in length/width/height, with a wheelbase of 2750 mm.

In terms of the interior, the center console has a two-layer layout, offering a 10.25-inch or 12.9-inch floating central control screen and a 7-inch or 8.8-inch full LCD instrument cluster depending on the configuration. The infotainment system supports CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar, and Carlink phone connectivity, and some models are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P chip, supporting 4G networks and basic OTA upgrades. Toyota Pilot driving assistance system is standard across the entire range, and the trunk capacity is 470 liters.

In terms of power, the new car offers two choices: a 1.8L gasoline-electric hybrid and a 2.0L gasoline engine. The hybrid version uses a 1.8L engine paired with a front-mounted single motor, with a combined system power of 101 kW, matched to an E-CVT gearbox, and the officially announced fuel consumption is 4.13 liters per 100 kilometers. For the battery, it is equipped with a lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide battery. The newly added 2.0-liter gasoline engine has a maximum power of 126 kW and is matched to a CVT gearbox with 10 simulated gears.
