On April 6, Voyah officially announced six body colors for its all-new model, the Taishan X8. The six colors are Xuan Ying Black, Starlight Silver, Du Ruo White, Chen Xing Gray, Tourmaline Red, and Distant Mountain Blue. The vehicle is positioned as a large five-seat SUV, with body dimensions of 5200×2025×1814mm and a wheelbase of 3090mm. The official "622" space experience standard was introduced, meaning the interior area exceeds 6 square meters, can accommodate a 2-meter-long fully flat bed, and the rear row is equipped with two zero-gravity seats. The interior has a total of 48 storage spaces, capable of seating 5 people and storing 11 suitcases of luggage.

In terms of exterior, the Taishan X8 adopts the "Kunpeng Spread Wings" design language. The front face features a closed vertical waterfall light grille, with the brand LOGO embedded in the center of the vertical trim, a light band running across the top, and the main headlight cluster embedded in the black grille area. Electric welcome pedals are provided along the lower edge of the doors. The rear features a full-width matrix taillight with the "VOYAH" English logo embedded in the center and a smart driving "small blue light" below. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a Fuyao Flowing Light front grille light, constellation ambient lighting, star-picking door handles, light-wing welcome light carpet, and galaxy rear taillights.

The Taishan X8 debuts Huawei's dual 15.6-inch in-car smart dual-screen setup, with an independent 15.6-inch 2K HD large screen for the front passenger. Users can use a three-finger swipe to transfer video between different screens. The vehicle will be the first to be equipped with Huawei's all-new generation four-lidar system, belonging to L3-level intelligent assisted driving hardware configuration, capable of providing support for ultra-high-definition imaging, ultra-long-distance detection, and ultra-precise recognition. It can identify targets such as gravel and long-distance obstacles, and improve perception stability in rain, fog, nighttime, and other weather conditions.

The Taishan X8 offers two powertrain versions: PHEV and EV. The PHEV version is equipped with a 65kWh battery pack, with a pure electric range (CLTC) of 370km; the EV version is equipped with a 120kWh battery pack, with a pure electric range (CLTC) exceeding 700km. It offers an 800V high-voltage platform and 5C ultra-fast charging, requiring 12 minutes to charge to 80% at room temperature.

Commentary: The Voyah Taishan X8 has a relatively clear product definition: with large five-seat space as its core selling point, combined with the "622" standard to meet the diverse usage scenarios of family users. The body dimensions and wheelbase are among the larger specifications in its class, providing a foundation for the interior layout. In terms of technical configuration, the Huawei dual-screen setup, multi-screen transfer, and four-lidar system give the vehicle a certain forward-looking edge in intelligent interaction and assisted driving hardware. The power and range figures, especially the PHEV version's 370km pure electric range and the EV version's 120kWh battery capacity, are at a relatively competitive level in the current market. The 800V platform and 5C ultra-fast charging further alleviate charging anxiety. Overall, this vehicle has clear technical support in the three aspects of space, intelligence, and power, and its actual performance after launch is worth watching.
