During the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the Great Wall Cannon Hi4-T opened for pre-sale. The new vehicle is positioned as a global intelligent electric hybrid pickup, built on the Hi4-T off-road super hybrid architecture of the Tank platform, and a total of four models are offered, namely the Commercial Cannon Elite Two-Wheel-Drive PHEV, Commercial Cannon Elite Hi4-T, Passenger Cannon Comfort Hi4-T, and Passenger Cannon Premium Hi4-T.

The Great Wall Cannon Hi4-T adopts the same longitudinally mounted parallel hybrid structure as its own Tank series. This structure uses an oil-electric parallel design, and under depleted-battery conditions the engine can independently drive the wheels, so power performance does not show obvious degradation. In terms of drive, the vehicle is equipped with a non-decoupling mechanical four-wheel-drive system, combined with a transfer case and a rear-axle electronically controlled differential lock, providing good ability to get out of difficult situations. The body-on-frame construction and reinforced frame enable a continuous gradeability of up to 75%. The Commercial Cannon version also adopts a widened and thickened high-strength ladder frame and 3+2 leaf springs, allowing it to remain stable on rough roads even under full load.

The Great Wall Cannon Hi4-T is powered by a 2.0T engine, a 9HAT hybrid transmission, and a P2 electric motor, with a combined system power of 310 kW and combined torque of 750 N·m, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.1 seconds. Under WLTC conditions, the pure electric range is 100 kilometers, and the maximum combined oil-electric range is 947 kilometers.

In terms of interior and intelligence, the Great Wall Cannon Hi4-T is equipped with the Coffee OS 3 smart cockpit, offering a 10.25-inch instrument panel and a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central control screen. The central control screen features triple protection and offers good visibility under strong light. The infotainment system is equipped with 24GB of memory and 128GB of storage, with a startup time of about 3 seconds. The entire vehicle has more than 100 noise-reduction designs, and the Passenger Cannon version is equipped with L2-level assisted driving and Sentry Mode, which can automatically monitor abnormal conditions around the vehicle.

Commentary: The Great Wall Cannon Hi4-T chooses to place the battery in the middle of the frame below the rear cargo box, with a ground clearance of about 700 millimeters and a PVC protective coating. This design helps reduce the risk of impact damage on the unpaved roads commonly encountered by pickups. The battery is a 33.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that has undergone more than twenty safety tests, has a dust and water protection rating of IP68, and the three-electric system offers lifetime warranty to the first non-commercial owner. The vehicle supports up to 6 kW external discharge, and a 220V power interface is provided in the cargo box, covering usage scenarios such as camping, towing RVs, and engineering operations.
